Who am I?
I was born and raised in London and worked in the UK's digital technology industry for almost eight years. In that time, I worked for three start-ups and, in 2023, co-founded my own. In 2026, I took the decision to return to study and start this blog.
Why am I doing this?
It's really simple. There is no shortage of bad news, so I want this blog to be a place for good news.
What can you expect?
Every day, I share at least one piece of good news that I've come across. I usually add a comment, and I usually share more than one story.
If you aren't a paid supporter, you'll still get something three days a week.
Do I use AI?
I only use AI to push technical changes to this website (it's quicker than writing the code manually).
None of the material I share is produced using AI. I read, write, and curate everything myself.
How much do I earn?
On this page, you'll find a monthly log of my earnings. Figures are taken directly from Stripe, the software I use to manage payments.
Every month, I give a portion of my income to charity:
| Month | Total income (after Stripe fees) | Commitment to charity |
|---|---|---|
| June 2026 | £0.00 | £0.00 |
Here is how I calculate how much to give each month:
| Monthly income | Commitment to charity |
|---|---|
| £0 – £100 | 25% |
| £100 – £1,500 | 10% |
| £1,500 – £3,000 | 5% |
| £3,000 – £10,000 | 10% |
| More than £10,000 | 15% |
How can you get in touch with me?
You can send an email to contact@kanelincoln.com, connect with me on the hellscape that is LinkedIn (though I check this infrequently), or reach out to me via Bluesky.
